Every engagement starts with your requirements, not with a product decision. My product depth in Snow License Manager, Snow Atlas, and Flexera One is a means to get there, not the offer itself.
Data connections and custom connectors
Your ITAM platform is only as good as the data in it. Some sources have no standard connector. Mobile devices from your endpoint management system. Server inventories from external service providers. SaaS usage from tools outside the catalog.
- Analyze the source: API capabilities, authentication, data model
- Validate feasibility in a test environment before the build starts
- Build and deploy the connector, for example via Microsoft Graph API, PowerShell, Inventory or Business Adapter Studio
- Document the architecture decision with weighted criteria, so your team understands why this path was chosen
Recent example: a custom mobile device connector for Flexera One ITAM at a financial services client, in productive operation and delivered inside a fixed audit deadline.

Platform operations and data quality
A platform that nobody trusts is a cost, not an asset. I take over or support the operational work that keeps your ITAM data reliable.
- License import and contract maintenance
- Compliance positions, contract terms, and renewals under control
- Identification of unused or duplicate licensed software
- Compliance and KPI reporting with native reporting or Microsoft Power BI
- Data analysis and data quality improvement, so your reports hold up when internal audit asks
The test I apply is simple: would I sign off on this report in front of an auditor? If not, we are not done.
Assessments and architecture decisions
Tool and architecture decisions are expensive to get wrong. I evaluate options against your requirements and document the decision so it survives scrutiny.
- Migration assessments, for example on premise to SaaS under regulatory requirements
- Integration architecture evaluations with weighted criteria and a written recommendation
- Requirements catalogs, evaluation criteria, and structured pilots for tool selection
- Decision records your team can revisit when circumstances change
My evaluations include something you rarely see: visible self-correction. When a reason turns out to be wrong, I mark it as outdated, correct it, and re-check the decision.
An evaluation that was never corrected is either trivial or not honestly kept.

Tailored to your tools, your users, and your processes: Flexera One, Snow License Manager, Snow Atlas. You decide scope, depth, and audience, from a two hour refresher for the SAM team to a full administrator programme.
License management seminars with my partner Apogiz
Practice seminars and workshops based on the German standard work “1×1 des Lizenzmanagements” by Torsten Groll: SAM fundamentals, software lifecycle processes, maturity assessment along ISO/IEC 19770-1, SAM tool selection, and Snow License Manager trainings. Held in German, English on request. Booking runs through Apogiz.
Sessions run in English or German, remote or on site. I have trained teams across Europe and North America.
The measure of success is always the same: the team works confidently without me.
